Meet Our Friendly and Experienced Staff

Dr. Tim Passarello

I graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1985 after attending the University of Maryland at College Park as an undergrad. I opened this office in March of 1986 and have been proudly serving the Eldersburg community and surrounding areas since.

As a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Carroll County Dental Society, I have been very active in promoting dental health to Carroll County residents. I serve as the dental resource for the Carroll County Public Schools system, specifically the implementation of the Fluoride Mouthrinse Program. For many years I coordinated the National Children’s Dental Health Month program.

My days of coaching baseball, basketball, soccer, and rugby have ended as my kids have gotten older. Still trying to play softball and golf, but had to retire from indoor soccer. Goalkeeping was getting a little tough on the hands!

Dr. Allie Passarello

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. In dental school, I was a member of the Gorgas Odontological Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society.

I grew up in Eldersburg, and I’m so excited to return to work alongside the incredible dental team here to support the health of this community! When I’m not at the office, you may find me hiking or trail running on local trails with my fiancé and our two dogs, Sequoia and Jolene! I’m interested in ultrarunning and ran my first 50K a few years ago, and my dogs are my favorite training partners! I also enjoy reading, knitting, and playing guitar or piano. I love to stay busy with continuing education and hobbies, and I find that dentistry is the perfect intersection of healthcare and creativity!

Vicki

Hi! My name is Vicki and I graduated from Medix School in 1993. My first interview after graduation was with Dr. Passarello and I have been working with him ever since.

My job title is certified Dental Assistant which consists of a variety of things, from assisting Dr. Passarello, to taking impressions of your teeth, making bleaching trays, and taking x-rays. I’ve enjoyed working with Passarello Family Dental and meeting and making friends with the patients over the years. I have two children, Chrissy and Nicholas and two stepchildren.

My husband and I have ten grandchildren that we enjoy very much. My hobbies when I’m away from the office are reading a good book, going out with longtime friends and working in the yard in the summertime. Our office is committed to making you feel at ease and welcome when you come in. I hope your experience with us will be a happy one.

Maria

Hello!  My name is Maria and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1997.

My love for dentistry started when I worked as a dental assistant while going to college. In 1997, I joined a practice in the specialty of Periodontics where I worked as the sole hygienist for 26 years.

I’m excited for this opportunity to work with such a great team here at Passarello Family Dental and can’t wait to meet you. I love building rapport with patients and helping them to elevate their oral and overall health. I live in Westminster and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I have 3 nephews and a niece whom I absolutely adore.

Tammy

Hi! My name is Tammy and I feel very fortunate to have joined the team at Passarello Family Dental in early 2013. I graduated from the Medix School and have been in the dental field since 1977.

I have two children and four grandchildren, who my husband and I spend as much time as possible with!! I enjoy going to the beach, camping and reading when I’m not at work!

Deena

I started with Dr. Passarello in August of 2006, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this great dental team. I enjoy working in an office where we all believe being a team player is what truly makes us successful and our patients feel comfortable in the office they have chosen for their dental needs.

I graduated from Medix School in 1988 and have enjoyed doing administrative aspects of the dental field ever since. A lot of my experience is working on a personal level with our patients in all areas of financial planning and utilizing their dental insurance. I like to encourage patients to truly maximize their dental insurance plan and feel comfortable about getting treatment done in our office.

When a patient walks in they should feel welcomed and warmly received from the moment they walk in the door. I am here to assist in any way I can! I enjoy going to the gym when I am not working, and spending time with my twins. I live in Eldersburg and enjoy my very short commute to work!

Nancy

I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 30+ years. My scope of practice involves experience in various settings. I have worked in a hospital dental department, where I established an outpatient and inpatient oral care program.

I have experience in general, pediatric, periodontal and prosthodontics private practices. My love for dentistry was discovered when having my teeth straightened as a teenager. I initially worked as a dental assistant, then attended Dental Hygiene School at the Community College of Baltimore and graduated with honors with a 3.90 GPA. My mentor, and employer, Dr. Harry W.F. Dressel, was a key instructor as well as the Dean of the Dental Hygiene program. I benefited tremendously by working Saturdays, as his dental assistant, all through my professional education.

I believe in always learning new things. I obtained my Emergency Medical Technician Certification. This enabled me to help my community by volunteering at the local firehouse and teaching CPR/Emergency First Aid through the Baltimore County Adult Education Program and SOS Technologies, (an emergency response training program.) For many years, I taught all levels of CPR: for the healthcare provider, the general public and (pediatric) the daycare provider.

Recently, I achieved my yoga instructor certification, and look forward to helping people manage chronic pain through the practice of yoga. Dentistry is always evolving, and I enjoy staying current with a variety of continuing education classes each year. My goal is to provide the best possible care and help you to prevent dental problems. I strive to impress upon patients, the intricate connection between your oral health and your overall general health. I have been married for 30+ years, have two grown children and two mini bernadoodles. I enjoy dance exercise, yoga, scuba diving and travel. I am eager to meet you and help you optimize your health.

Kara

My name is Kara and I am lucky to have joined the Passarello team in early 2022. I have 18 years experience as a dental assistant.

I have 3 children Becky, Charlie and Brody and 2 stepchildren Wesley and Gabe. When I’m not working I spend my time with my husband, kids and 3 dogs. I love being outside and spend my summers by the pool.

I’m looking forward to meeting and taking care of all the patients here at Passarello Family Dental.

Matt

Hello! I hope you’re doing well! My name is Matthew, and I’m a pre-dental student. Having graduated from Century High School in 2018, I furthered my studies at the University of Maryland. I graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Biology and a Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Now, I’m looking to apply to dental school in order to pursue a career in general dentistry!

I like to go on walks with my girlfriend and her dog. We enjoy going out and having a good laugh together. I’m also an avid soccer and Manchester United fan.

I look forward to meeting you chairside, at the front desk, or anywhere in between! Go Terps!

Michele

Hi, my name is Michele and I am one of the newest hygienist at Dr. Passarello’s as of Sept 2023. I am originally from Mercersburg, PA and started my dental career in 1999 as a  dental technician (assistant) with the United States Air Force. In 2004; after I separated from the Air Force, I was a dental assistant at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.  A couple years later, I joined the WV Air National Guard and became a full time student focusing on Dental Hygiene.

I graduated from West Liberty University in 2009 with a B.S. Degree in Dental Hygiene.  After living in Anne Arundel and Howard Counties, my family and I moved to Carroll County in 2017. I have a ten year old daughter, an eight year old son, a bernedoodle and a Maine Coon mix cat. I love spending time with my family, volunteering, traveling, flower gardening, wine, and pop culture!

I’m so happy to be part of this amazing dental team/family! I love what I do and love helping patients reach their dental goals. My primary goal is to make sure my patients feel comfortable in my chair and they know that I will take the best care of them (with a gentle hand!) I pride myself with being active with local dental hygiene study groups and professional peers, to ensure my patients are getting the optimal care and treatment.

I look forward to meeting you and your family!
